Microsoft Systems Administrator
The Corporate Executive Board is enhancing its suite of Member-facing websites. The platform provides access to subscribed research; polls Member institutions for benchmarking data and offers reporting platforms for research data aggregation.
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for facilitating all aspects of a full project lifecycle. This includes facilitating activities around system modeling, requirements development, requirements review, design, implementation and testing while helping to solidify and formalize overall system and department processes.
The candidate will ultimately participate on a team of more junior and more senior systems administrators, developers, engineers and database administrators. The environment is fast-paced and innovative and will require some measure of autonomy.
The candidate must have excellent communication skills, formal experience with authoring functional and technical documentation, and conceptual knowledge of relational database management systems and web technologies.
Core responsibilities include: * Consult end users and project sponsors to identify and document current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. * Assist testers in the development of all testing-related documentation, including test plans, test cases/scripts, and defect reports. QA documentation for accuracy, feasibility, consistency, and completeness. * Write documentation to accurately describe application implementation, business logic, and change management workflows. * Document and manage requirements specifications. * Work with the Technical lead to document technical design specifications. * Schedule and coordinate process meetings across multiple business units and IT. * Perform routine maintenance of Microsoft Operating Systems and other supported software
