Job Description:

The primary function of the Software Developer role is to develop IT applications based on functional requirements and technical specifications. This person will regularly create and document technical designs based on functional requirements as well as implement the design. Software developers work collaboratively with business analysts in order to understand functional requirements and translate those requirements into technical designs. Additionally, software developers work collaboratively with other developers to share coding best practices and ensure standardized techniques across the team.



Essential Functions:

* Software development of client/server, object-oriented applications, using primarily .NET and C#

* Planning and execution of unit tests of code components

* Report Building using Microsoft Reporting Services

* Translation of functional requirements documents into technical design specifications

* Development of solutions for a variety of complex and potentially poorly-defined problems

* Website development using ASP .NET

* Support of Custom off-the-shelf (COTS) applications including new customizations and reporting.



Experience:

* 3 to 5 years of .NET experience.



Educations:

* Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university in Computer Science, Technology or related field



Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

* Proficiency in Microsoft technologies and platforms including: client/server and web application development using C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, Visual Studio 2005, XML/XSL, SOAP, SOA and Web Services

* Proficiency with SQL Server 2005 and database access technologies and techniques.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Report Services

* Strong object oriented concepts.

* Experience working within short development cycles using agile methods.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

* Flexible & easily adaptable to change.

* Strong desire to learn new technologies.
